The same applies when you install Internet Explorer 8 on Windows Vista. However, the 64-bit setup file also contains the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer 9. That is, you can't use the 32-bit setup file on Windows 7 圆4, and of course you can't install the 64-bit version on Windows 7 x86. If you want to install Internet Explorer 9, you have to download the correct bit-version for your operating system.
For instance, if you installed Windows 7 圆4, you already have Internet Explorer 8 as 32-bit and 64-bit installed. However, the 32-bit edition also works on Windows 64-bit.
